Diet Schmiet

Back in January of 2010 (or maybe it was 2011- who can remember that far back) I decided it was time to lose weight. After having three kids in four and a half years I was over 200lbs and generally miserable with my appearance. I was ducking out of photos, turning down invitations to do things that would require me to stray from my uniform (jeans and a sweatshirt, even in the heat). I was not enjoying my kids or my day to day life. I started weight watchers, instantly saw results and by summer had lost 60lbs. Yay!! Wooo!! Whatever!!

I kept the weight off for years. Well until I got pregnant in 2014, gained 30 lbs and now almost two years later still carry around that 30 and a little bit more. Ugh!!! 

I am back to ducking out of pics, shying away from plans and living in a new uniform (leggings and either a sweater or a larger shirt). So time to diet again. Diet shmiet!!!  Weight watchers should work again but it's so much work with the points. No carb should work but I can only eat so much bacon and cheese before I feel like this can't possibly be a healthy way to eat. Eating a balanced diet with restricted calories and tracking anything that enters my mouth should work. Ok. Let's try that one. 

I am 36 now. It's not going to be as easy. My body is different. My whole lifestyle of being a busy mom of four is different. But you have to try something different in order to get a different outcome. Right?!?
