Nothing to see here, folks!
Life seems to be busy yet rather quiet lately. I will take it.
We are tiptoeing towards our goal to move in 14 months. Madison will be done with middle school and Brynn will be done with elementary. It is a transition period for both of them and a perfect time to get in to a better school district and in to the area where we want to be long term. It is crazy that I will have to begin researching PreK programs in the area as well because as my oldest is beginning high school my youngest will be off to school for the first time. WAH!!!!!!
We have a realtor who is looking out for our perfect home and have high hopes that with a 14 month lead time we will find what we are looking for.
Tony patched in with the Defender LEMC Fort Lauderdale chapter this past weekend. It was an interesting and often times, humbling experience and I am not even directly involved. People traveled from near and far (many of them traveling an insane distance on the back of a motorcycle) with the sole purpose of welcoming these 10 guys and this new chapter of the organization. I got hugs and side kisses from countless aging, tattooed, badass looking dudes who are current or retired law enforcement or military members that welcomed my family to their family. Pretty cool!!!
This upcoming weekend we will be off to sell Veteran Earth art at our first non-Veteran Earth sponsored event. Getting the name, brand and pieces out there is exciting. We need to broaden the reach and customer base so that we continue to make this small, but growing, business a success.
The kids are good- school year is starting to wind down as we are in the six week home stretch. This one went fast. Very fast. We have had some ups and downs with grades, tears, effort, etc but I am proud of them all.
So, not really much to see here, folks. Just my crazy bunch getting through and plugging along right now.
